Mark,

Unfortunately, in my younger days I didn't protect my ears well. These days I play with headphones where I control the volume. I also tend to play less "destructive" types of music too.

I recorded our church Easter service yesterday. Took all 16 channels and I really could have used 24. We're looking to compile a nice little album of our music that we can give to visitors, etc. I'll begin mixing/editing in the next couple of days.

I'm not sure how much technical help I can be, but I'm willing to offer my un-educated advice!

What sort of recording are you doing?

Haven't tried Podcasting yet. I certainly have the hardware and software that I need but I don't figure I have much that folks would want to hear! Meanwhile, I consume other Podcasts at a massive rate! 'Listen to 'em in the car on the way to work each day!

We need to talk. The studio sounds cool. Drummer -- do you use hearing protection?

I'm doing a good bit of recording. I could use some technical help for a long-term project too.

I like the blog. Are you doing any podcasting?
