I was properly chastised by my sister for not posting for the last couple of weeks. Truth told, there have been a number of factors:

1. I’ve been quite busy working on the house to get it ready for a visit from said sister and for new carpeting and some new furniture.

2. I’ve been mulling over just what direction to take this blog.

3. I’ve been watching events surrounding the Katrina disaster. Each time I feel the urge to post due to some bone-headed report I’ve just seen, I pause to let the steam die down.

4. I wonder if *anyone* (besides my family) gives 2 hoots about this blog.

Since I was on a bit of a kick to tell some stories about my youth, I was given the suggestion that maybe I should break the blog into more than one…with one focusing on tech topics while the other being more oriented toward story-telling. I just don’t know what I’ll do and so I’ll ask you, dear reader, to post your suggestions as to the direction I should take.

   Welcome back, man!

   I’m going to split my blog up, too. Small But Disorganized will be the geek/tech/personal blog, and some yet-to-be-named blog will be the politics/religion/philosophy/economics/culture BS. Plus, I’m finally going to put together the corporate website/blog. And do some podcasting. I’m finally entering a lull, so I’ll have some time. I say “finally” as if its a good thing. And it is. I could use a break. I just don’t want it to last too long.

   And hey, I care about your blog. Its in my RSS reader. In fact, I was just about to email you to see what was going on.

   Thanks. I’m thinking that I’m finally getting to be ready for a PodCast. I was close there a while back (as you know), but the house thing and a friend’s illness kinda chopped that off at the knees, so to speak.

   I have the feeling that the story stuff, politics, etc. cause people who were looking for a tech blog to kinda get turned off. So, perhaps it does make sense to break things up. My wife keeps telling me that it makes sense to have two. I’m a bit worried that if I don’t post much here that I might do even less with two. Dunno.

   Glad someone still reads this. The traffic has been abysmal…of course perhaps posting here and again would help that…

   I’ve got a post brewing about PDA’s… I reference you in it, so here’s fair warning! Nothing bad mind you…!
